Transfer from Constellix to UltraDNS January 14, 2026 05:26 Updated Do note: UltraDNS only accepts RFC compliant records. If you have any questions on what records are not RFC compliant, you can find a list here: 1. Select Managed DNS, and Navigate to Domains2. Select the domain names you wish to exportSelect all domains you wish to export using the check boxes to the left of the domain name.3. Select the Advanced Options drop downWith the domains selected, navigate to Advanced Options, and select "Export Domains as BIND". This will prompt a download of all selected domains zone files in the BIND format. 4. Locate the downloaded file on your computer, and open it to unzip the txt files.Once you have unzipped the BIND zone file, you will need to remove the constellix SOA in order for it to import properly into UltraDNS.In the below example, there are only 3 record we are keeping. We will remove the top portion of the zone file, keeping only the required records. SOA records are automatically generated for you.Remove the section highlighted, keeping the only the DNS records left in the TXT file.Save the file, you will import this in step 6.Now we will import the domain into UltraDNS.5. Navigate to the domain portal Log in to your Ultra DNS Account, and click the domains section.Click the "+ Add Domain" button to add a new domain. 6. Enter your Domain name and select "Load a Domain File"Enter your domain name in the text box under Domain Name.Select "Load a Domain File" and select the modified zone file from step 4.Click save to begin the import process.11. Import statusYou can find the import status on the top right using the Tasks button.
